The Girls From G-Force

After eight weeks of drama, excitement, tears and tantrums the big day had finally arrived.

The Cresta Court in Altrincham played host to the most exciting event Cheshire had ever seen. The girls showcased their newly learnt skills and strutted their stuff on the catwalk with such skill, poise and confidence even Tyra would have been impressed!

The girls who walked onto the catwalk that night were a million miles away from those that walked into Take Two HQ 2 months before. They had been committed, passionate, enthusiastic and it was a real honour mentoring them. Tina, Paul and Sara Lee from G-Force have endless patience, compassion and kindness. They all do such a wonderful job at G-Force, working all hours God sends as they all want to do what they can to help those less fortunate than themselves which in today’s selfish world is something not enough people do.

The Catwalk Event at Crest Hotel

The Lilly Styling kitted out the girls in some fabulous outfits from Debenhams, House of Fraser, New Look, Coast, Super Dry, Warehouse, Dune and Duty Free Clothing and the fabulous Jayne Whittiker and her team of hair and make-up artists from the school of make-up made them all look drop dead gorgeous. The hilarious ‘Wingman’ hosted the event and we had live performances from No Flash, The Moorside Street Dance Troupe, Still City Sound and Platnum who took time out from promoting their second smash single ‘Emotionally Tired’.

We couldn’t believe the kindness and generosity of everyone involved who all gave up their time and talents for free. UK Effects provided us with our fabulous catwalk, MCL provided all the sound and visual along with Underground Live, Ashton. ESL Studio printed all of the fliers and tickets for us and the Cresta Court kindly gave us their Belgrave Ballroom to host the event to an audience of over 200!

The girls have been an inspiration to us all and just shows what can be achieved with just a little time, effort and patience. I hope these girls lives have been changed forever. I know ours have!
